I DO love her. But I have not been listening to her albums fully since The Velvet Rope. I love her concerts but her last one was not all that. What do you thing?

I love her too but, her last couple of albums were not the best and have you seen her latest video? What a disappointment. Janet is not a "sweet, young thang" anymore and has to compete with other much younger entertainers like Beyonce. She is 40 now and anything over 25 in Hollywood is old. I think the pressure is definitely on for her to promote herself in a sexy way. This explains the whole "wardrobe malfunction" fiasco at the superbowl in 2004. She seems obssessed with showing off her body and shocking people by expressing her sexuality in her music and videos. I don't think Janet Jackson truly realizes that she is a pop icon and does not need to present herelf in this way to sell records and sell out concerts. She is a great entertainer. When her first albums came out she made little reference to sex in her songs, it was mostly about the music and her skill as a dancer/entertainer. She is beautiful and still very talented but I would like to see her do something different, something new or just retire already.

i loved her up until the Rhythm Nation album. (I loved her self-titled debut album- very 80s, but good) I like select songs on The Velvet Rope album.
Can't say that i'm very interested in her now.
That song with Nelly is trivial and forgettable.

I love Janet. I think she's still doing her thing. I haven't heard her most recent album but I like all her other ones.
