I think with hockey you are either born into it or get hooked by a specific event.

I know myself I was loosely following the Senators but then they won a 1-0 game on the day of the regular season to make it to the playoffs for the first time in modern history and I was hooked.

As for born into it, my two boys are pretty young and we now live closer to Toronto but they know who dad cheers for and they will see lots of Sens games, even a yearly trip to the ScotiaBank Place.

Montreal Canadiens is in my blood, since i was a little guy skating around in the back yard, and getting up at 4 am in the morning 3 times a week before school to go practice at the rink just the chills i would get putting my HABS jersey on, was the best feeling ever. there is so much history with this franchise its hard to explain but even today i still get goosebumps watching it on T.V at home or going to the BELL CENTER to watch my team play. and just last night i was at work and around 11:00pm Guy Carbonneau and Doug Jarvis both came in and I got to talk to them. and plus i got there autographed, and i still had the same goosebumps and chills as i did since i was a little guy watching the great team play. hockey is my life, and the Montreal Canadiens are my family.

GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

here are links to Guy Carbonneau and Doug Jarvis if you'd like to see.the two guys that i got the autographed from last night. Guy is now the Coach and Jarvis is an assistant coach of the Montreal Canadiens. between them both they have 7 Stanley Cup's, 6 with the Habs and Guy won one with the Dallas Stars.

The Buffalo Sabres-under dogs, under rated, small market team, BUT!!!! they are the smartest and hardest working team in hockey, a true team, with actual team spirit, the scoring spread around well, four lines that can role and role and not miss a beat, and they are fast, and as our voice of the Sabres likes to say "Scarey Good!"

Montreal Canadiens. What can I say? They're the best team in hockey history. Also the most beloved team. They produced some of the best goalies in history like Jacques Plante, Patrick Roy, Vezina etc.
