White is the most popular colour, i would say when it comes to buying t-shirts.
However, black is also a popular colour. If you are undecided, then consider a bumper pack that usually sells one of each.

i go by slogans if they are funny or smart like across the chest of one of my t-shirts is my face is up here with an arrow pointing upwards i dont worry about colour

white b/c i'm quite tanned so it shows off my colour best, but saying that i do know what colours don't suit me and there are quite a few mainly bright, bold colours tho.

i always buy and black and white t shirt and if i like the fit and style then i will go back and buy more in like yellow, brown and pinks.

White looks good for tan skin. If your pale I would say bright colors like orange or pink.
