yes , my boyfriend was shoving me in the car when I was drunk and a lady thought he was trying to rape me, she called the cops.

All the time. I was once on a silent retreat at a convent with a nice park next to it. I went for a prayer walk in the park but someone saw me looking off a bridge and thought I looked suicidal. They called the police to come save me and I had to break silence to explain to the cops that I was just looking at the ripples in the water from the interaction of the current and the rain. They decided to drive me the 100 yards back to the front door of the convent so they would know I was safe. I don't know what anyone at the retreat thought but I doubt it had an resemblance to the reality because I couldn't tell anyone what had happened.

I was flipping through a magazine at work when the phone rang. I was so busy talking to a customer I didn't realize that I had landed on an "adult personal" section of the magazine. My manager happened to pass by, he made a comment. It was awkward.

Yea, if your talking about what I think you're talking about..
You just need to shrug it off and move on...there's nothing you can do to change anyone's mind about "what it looks like".
