Not necessarily. Charge the battery well, either by using a charger, or drive the car for a prolonged period of time (> 1 hour), or if that isn't convenient, park it in your driveway and let it idle for a while. Sit and read a book, but don't just walk away from it; someone might steal it, or something might go wrong and you need to be there to monitor your car.
Good Luck

Have the battery slow charged and tested. Only a fully charged battery will give a tester the correct information. Especially the new Glass Matte Batteries. Fast charging a battery will damage it or cause it to overheat, producing sulfuric acid vapors that will explode. Making the vehicles Alternator charge a dead battery will overwork the alternator. It can and does damage the alternator. They are designed to maintain a good battery not charge a dead one. More importantly, why did the vehicle have to be jump started? Was there a draw such as lights being left on, or a malfunction causing a parasitic drain that drianed the battery or a malfunctioning charging system that drained the battery? Have the charging system, battery and starting system tested by a trained and reputable technician.

not unless your alternator is bad and not recharging the battery. what ran the battery down in the first place? leave your lights on? if so, then the battery should be fine. if you went out to start it and the battery was dead after you just drove it, I would say the alternator might be bad. you can check the alternator by removing the ground cable from the battery while the car is running. if the car dies, it's the alternator.

No, the battery is the charge for starting your car and running auxillary items. Your battery should be charged within 10 minutes or so by your alternator.

Nope, just take it on a good run so that the car can recharge the battery.

Only if the old one does not accept a charge. Drive the car for a while and see if the alternator charges it back up
