People can be so stupid. Taking revenge on stingrays. Steve Irwin would not approve of them doing this. He understood the risks that came along with his job and would not blame the stingray for his untimely death.

People who do this have some other deep-seated personal problem (such as an inability to pay their bills) and are using Steve Irwin's death as an excuse to take out their frustrations on innocent stingrays.
"Mildred! DAMMIT! I just got a disconnect notice from the electric company. Shitt. I'm going to go out and kill a stingray and blame it on what's-his-face, the crocodile guy."

I think that it is not the stingrays' fault that some people haven't learned to stay the he-- away from them. Other than that, the guy said in the article that fishermen sometimes do this, so maybe the dead stingrays are being blown out of proportion...wouldn't be the first time the media has made a circus out of nothing.

thats just dumb! youre going to kill animals because one of its species killed a man who wanted to save the animals? it wasnt like the stingray had a vendetta for him! he was just defending himself when he thought he was being attacked. he didn't think "hmmmm, maybe this guy I just poisoned is a man who lives to save animals like me". Stop taking things personal with mother nature. When things happen, things happen. Live & let die.

they are just gonna scar the minds of other watching stingrays, thus making them attack more humans they come into contact with.

Really senseless. It is against everything that Steve Irwin believed in and worked for. He would be shocked, revolted and saddened by this.

i think it is wrong. the stingray felt threatened and tried to protect itself. there's nothing wrong with that. it just resulted terribly, but thats not the rays fault.

That's like asking if we should kill all horses because Chris Reeves fell of one and couldn't walk again. People like you annoy me.
