i hate using oil blotting sheets so a pressed powder would be better. i would also prefer it to not have a color, since i dont need makeup and i don't really want to wear it. thanks.

having an oily skin is difficult to have a total control. it can help lessen out by having your self a diamond peeling in your face twice a month to a derma. when you wash your face, always follow up it with an oil control cleanser.

There are some facial products such as scrubs and soaps that help with oily skin. I know Biore has some great stuuf, don't remember the name. You can also try to drink a lot of water and this will help balance oil levels in skin. But some people just have oily skin or oily looking skin when it's not oily. Maybe baby powder will help absorb some of the oil, but it might make you look pale, this is the only powder I can think of w/o color in it. I like using TruMatch powder by Loreal paris. you don't really have the makeup look if you find the right tone, and they have plenty of different shades. It depends on yr skin color, olive, medium or neutral. But try the Biore. It'll help.

first off, use a soap or liquid cleanse for sensitive skin; a dermatologist told me that years ago and it makes sense!! you don't want to 'beat up' your face with harsh soaps and scrubbing too hard...always wash your hands before you wash your face****** use warm NOT hot water and rinse with COOL not COLD water; remember,NO extremes of water temperature on the face, esp., with oily skin..

If you do get a shine during the day, translucent powder, as another reader suggested,is good, but save your money and just use the lowest-priced facial tissue you can find, separate the layers, and carry a few in your purse; during the day BLOT do not RUB the oily areas as needed; you'll save money and acomplish the same thing as the rice papers and all that stuff!!

Remember to treat your skin GENTLY; when you overscrub the brain sends signals to the skin to replace the oils you lost after scrubbing.........and yes, you should exfoliate at least 2 times a week; here is the BEST you can use; plain old baking soda!! find a nice plastic container you can keep in the bathroom and fill it with baking soda; when you are washing your face, leave the lather on your face and pour some baking soda in the palm of your hand; then place a few drops of water at a time until you get a thick paste, then GENTLY, using cirdcular motions, massage it into your face; start with the forehead, then eye area, (be gentle there!!) nose, face, chin, etc....go over it at least 2 - 3 times, or whatever feels comfortable for you.......do NOT RUB just think of it as a gentle massage-like motion.........then rinse rinse rinse with COOL not COLD water.........and gently blot dry..........then you should use an oil free moisturizer (there are many moderately priced ones on the market today!) and apply it at the corners of your eye, NOT underneath, your throat, and if you tend to have expression lines, around the mouth area...you are only concerned with the areas that do not get a shine during the day; the so-called T zone; forehead, nose areas.....hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!

Use some loose powder in a shade that matches your skintone. That will keep the oil under control. Clean & Clear makes oil blotting sheets that are real good.

The sheets are the best thing, but if you really insist on using powder, MAC Blot is the best. Any powder just sticks to oil instead of removing it, which is what the blotting sheets do.

Try Arbonne Intelligence Personalizer. It is like a pressed powder except that most pressed powders use oil to press the powder into the compact. It compounds the oil problem and you have to keep reapplying, creating a spackle that turns orange as it oxidizes. The personalizer does not! It has a green base that goes on sheer, but neutralizes any redness you may have. It goes with any skin tone

My sister used to use the bare minerals, and she had to keep layering on more and more and still wasn't happy. I gave her a personalizer and she put on just one sheer layer and immediately got the matte look she was trying for. Seriously, you'll love it!

Personally when I'm having oily days, I use rubbing alcohol mixed with water as an astringent. It works great about taking away the oil, but it can leave your skin dry. Apply moisturising lotion and let your face "dry" about 10 minutes brush on a loose powder foundation. Not only is it lightweight, but can help control your oily skin and shiny face, and it doesnt take much time or effort to apply. *note* it doesnt do any damage to my skin, but it might be too strong for you. Use at risk, careful around the eyes.

Baby Powder

regular baby powder should work. just don't use a lot or else you'll look like a ghost. also, right after you come home from work or school, wash your face with hot water (because hot water dissolves skin oil better than lukewarm water) and soap. it'll keep your pores from getting clogged (which causes oily skin). for long-term changes, stay away from soft drinks and fried foods, and drink plenty of water because it'll flush out the toxins in your skin.

Hope that helps...

Use mineral powders, if you don't need make up you can just use the finishing powder, which stops your face from going oily and shiny, visit the website below, they do samples at £1.75, so you might like to give them a try.

If you don't want any makeup, you'll have to settle for the sheets or paper towel or whatever. You could get a loose powder that's translucent-that might be the closest thing to what you're looking for.
