I would keep Plummer. Pennington played a horrible Titans team. Plummer has more weapons and will post the better numbers.

Pennington will produce good numbers if he can stay healthy this season, which he has proved in the past that he can't(Kind of like Kurt Warner in Arizona)
He had a great first week, but keep in mind that the Titans secondary is one of the worst in football. He'll also have to face the Dolphins, Pats and Bills secondary twice. That will be tough.
Don't get me wrong, he's a great backup, but Plummer had a bad week and deserves another chance. If Plummer fails to impress you again this week, then take a chance on Pennington. Just be aware that the Jets have a very young offensive line and still have not established a running game.

Don't expect those numbers week in and week out, but Pennington had been quite all pre-season about that shoulder and he put to bed some rumors...

As for Plummer, he looked like the old Snake...it would be a crap shoot to rely on either one as a starter

I probably would take him over plummer, but you shouldn't get too excited - he beat up on a very poor, and disorganized defense this week. It remains to be seen how he, and them team hold up against stiff competition.

And I'm a Jets fan. :)

(EDIT) The best way I can put it: Pennington is the kind of QB that finds ways to win games. Plummer is the kind that finds ways to lose them. :)

Agreed - its a crap shoot between these two. Neither one of them is consistant at all. Both QBs are capable of producing only a few 300+ yard games with multiple touchdowns, and are both equally likely to produce several sub-200 yard games with many turnovers.

If you have to, keep them both and try to play them based on their matchups. Otherwise, try to deal for a more reliable QB. If David Carr is available on waivers still, I would grab him and play Carr over either Pennington or Plummer 9 times out of 10.

pennington is the better quarterback. he is also the better patient. plummer is a choke. tough choice. i would gamble on chad's shoulder. he seems to have the will while plummer does not have the resolve.

It's a toss up. Check the defenses they play, go with the one who plays the worst defenses.
