I think some people just know. Some women I know are attracted to both, but some can't even imagine being with a woman. I think the discinction lies in the question: who can you actually see yourself in a long-term, committed relationship with? A lot of women are attracted to other women physically but wouldn't dream of being in a relationship with one. I think time will tell. Women are more fluid with sexuality in general, and I think there are probably more people who consider themselves bi as opposed to lesbian...but that's just a guess based on the fact that being a strict "lesbian" is a pigeonhole not as many people are comfortable with.

My sexuality is a work in progress. The fact that I'm a transsexual bi woman is really the cause. When I first started switching over to the female side I knew I had an attraction to men, but since I was trying to get away from masculinity in my life I stayed away from those feelings. As I get further along and living my life almost constantly as a woman, I'm starting to come more to terms with the idea of a long-term heterosexual relationship with a man. I'd currently consider myself about 75% les and 25% straight.

Yes, there are. I knew I was bi because I still liked men, but also loved women. How I knew I liked both was when I was six and had a huge crush on this guy, but then was dry humping my best girl friend in the dog house.

i think there r more bi bisexuals than lesbians especially when u consider that alot of bi women only have like a couple of experiences with other women so they don't feel its necessary to even come out

I personally believe that there is no such thing as bi sexual. I think people are either heterosexual or homosexual. I think many woman who are straight 'hook up' with other women in order to get attention from guys and call themselves bi sexual.
My best friend is just now coming to the realization that she may be gay but she has been in a serious relationship with a guy for around a year now. She says that she thinks you can fall in love with anyone, male or female. She is obviously attracted to woman but cares deeply about the man she is with now. I think this has more to do with the fact that they have been together so long and this is the first serious relationship she's had rather than the fact that she is 'in love' with him. I personally think that she wants so bad to be 'normal' that if she is going to be 'normal', he is who she wants to be 'normal' with. Right now she may consider herself bi sexual, but I think she will wind up coming to the realization that she is homosexual. She did not come to this realization after a threesome or anything of that nature, I (among many other people) have always suspected this about her, and she is just not coming to grips with it and accepting it.

when women are attracted to both-men and women they are bisexual, so a woman usually knows. Just common sense.
