I met a woman with a child 7+ years ago...have never left her side since....greatest thing that ever happened to me....

when we met we were both miserable and not fond of the opposite sex and decided to use each other as friends to vent at....that was the basis of our relationship since...we have the ability to talk to each other no matter what is going on....

I think the trick is you really have to give up looking to find what it is you are looking for

My fiance used to date a woman with a child and what frustrated him was that the kid *always* came first. In most cases, you have an established relationship before children come into the picture.

I'm unwilling to date men with a child for the same reason. I think it'd be different if I had a child of my own, but coming in as a step-parent is weird... especially if the parent won't give you authority over discipline and some childrearing.

Let me tell you something coming from a single mother herself : Stop trying. It will come your way darling. Took me 11 years to find the right man. Not that him and my son are always happy go lucky, it's tough for a man to look at a child that is not their own, and think to themselves "what I am doing." It is no easy task. I've also raised someone elses children before... So, so hard. But after time, he came along. It takes a true man to be a father. My son looks up to him, and respects him. And though we've been together for 3 years now, my son and him have a big "jealousy" thing over ME! You will find someone.. I did.

You just have some of those guys around. If they were ready to commit it wouldn't bother them if you had a kid. They still want to run wild and afraid a kid would get in the way. So go out and have fun with all that ask. Use them for awhile. The one that really likes you for you and not a bed partner will be calling for a second and third date. Just be patient.

It's not hard to find men, we're everywhere. Just walk by a construction site and you'll see what I mean. Now getting him to commit, that's a whole 'nother topic. And let's not even get started with all the hassles around taking over the parenting of someone elses kids.

We are looking in the wrong places. I know of guys that have taken on the responsibility of anothers children. Some men cannot have children of their own and want them, so this situation is ideal for them.
What about the single widowed parents do they find another to love them and their kids?
Don't give up hope. There has to be someone out there for you.

Men are afraid of the baggage that might come with the woman.. A real man doesn't care if you have 1 or 3 kids.. they should understand since they are the reason why women are left with children..those bastards...

It's natural instinct... you've had some dudes seed, another man doesn't want to get involved if he can find a girl who is not yet a mother. I used to like this girl I graduated with, but she had a kid senior year and sexual interest went down the drain.

STOP LOOKING

the minute you stop looking one good one will fall in your lap

and no good men are at the clubs, bars or standing on street corners

they are all working
so you might meet one at church, the grocery store threw a friend

and if your a package deal dont settle for anything less than

you are worth the moon and stars
kid and all

Good grief. I would set the bar a little higher before trying again. Higher standards will find you a man who is more mature than to be scared of commitment.
