thank god,, in America we do have a choice,,,, and yet some complain about the rights and choices we have as a progressive nation,, some would have us go back 50-100 years,, to the back alleyways and the butchers,, confusing religion with the scientific progress of our education system just exposes the ignorance of the fiscal conservatives.. the born-again who believe the most horrible of circumstances will never happen to them,,, but if it does,, it will be gods will ,, and the possible HIV infected victim and child will be forced to live their lives at the mercy of horrific shame and death for their eternity,, god helps...... (and also gives choices)............. those who help themselves

Of course i wouldn't. It is absolutely HER CHOICE what to do with her body. Though I would hope she would have the child and give it to my best friends (in another state) who has been trying to have a baby for 5 years, and trying to adopt an infant for another 5 (husband infertile).

By the way, I have an old brochure from planned parenthood, (1998) Only 2% of abortions in 1997 where from rape and incest. 78% where unmarried teens, and 20 % Married couples not wanting children.

No, that's stupid to force someone to have a baby they don't want. A true conservative that is not influenced by the activist delusional "christians" is pro choice.

Government does not belong in the personal life of the people. That's a true conservative statement.

I might add I'm a Christian and Biblicaly life begins at the moment of birth. Get a real teacher!

Why is it the baby's fault?
what if the daughter gets married, gets pregnant, then the father goes psyco and gets violent and rapes the already pregnant mother... the child would still remind the mother of the father, and its still not the baby's fault.

The rape objection is really a pretty weak argument because the vast majority of abortions are the result of consensual sex, not rape or incest.

Just like to point out that many of the same arguments about a fetus not being human have been used in the past to legitimize slavery and genocide

no for sure, but you know what according to Islam you have a chance to get rid of the baby in the first few weeks before the baby becomes a human being. after he gets his soul you don't have that right.

no way! why should she keep it when it would only remind her of her horrible ordeal. She would end up hating the baby, unfair on both.

Yes. Just because a crime was committed against my daughter, does not give her the right to commit a crime against her own child. 2 wrongs do not make a right. The child can not help how it was conceived, why sentence it to death for the crimes of it's father?

OF COURSE THEY WOULDN'T. THEY'D GET AN ABORTION JUST LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE AND JUST KEEP IT SECRET. THE LAW DOES NOT APPLY TO NEOCONS. OR AT LEAST THAT IS WHAT THEY SEEM TO THINK. THE LAW IS FOR EVERYBODY ELSE.
