But I feel like there is no sun because it is just a gloomy day for obvious reasons....

(singing)....don't know whyyyyyyyyy there's no sun up in the sky....stormy weather.........etc, etc..
Purty ol song...ceptin' the reason there ain't no sun is cause it's raining...not cause of no durn girl...just get another girl - won't make the sun come out though...not if it's still raining...you'll just be standing in the rain with a new gal. (but then you could sing...singing in the rain...)
