I have a childhood friend I've known since we were born. And we were born only 2 days apart in the same year! We lived next door when we were kids and now live on 2 different continents (she in the States, I in Italy) and yet we still write pretty regularly, send presents to each other and meet from time to time. Either she travels here (infact I saw her just a month ago!), or I to the States and we even spent 2 summer holidays in Greece together. We are now both 45!

I have a friend who I have grown up with. I have known her since I was 3 and we are both 34 now, so I've known her for a huge 31 years! Our parents still live in the same houses facing each other that we grew up in. Life was one huge sleep over for us! We had some great times, school, holidays, camping in home made tents in the garden, growing up, BOYFRIENDS, nights out on the town! We will always be friends... we know everything about each other. Our kids play together now. I wonder if their friendship will last as long as ours has!

My longest male/female friendship happens to be with a guy I met in 1991 when we were processing to join the Army. We don't even live in the same state and haven't for atleast 10 years, but he is one ofmy closest friends...We talk almost every day.
And my roommate in the Army--we are still really close....despite the fact that she lives in another state as well...We talk every day as well....
I have also had the same best friend since I was 3 years old and I'm 33 now. I don't talk to her often because she is in the Navy and is stationed in Naples, Italy right now.
I love the three of them dearly!!!

Yes a matter of fact I have two long time friends. We don't hang out like we use to but we try to make it to see each other at least once a month. I've known them both for about 20 some years and still going strong.
