on the 2nd day of seventh grade, someone spread a rumor that i was gonna go out with some kid logan for revenge on my jake (my ex who i still like and he seems to like me back)!! now logan "found out" about this and doesnt like me anymore. i wouldnt be surprised if he hates me. i know no one should believe it but they do. this kid sean told jake about it and jake keeps saying he didnt say anything of the sort but i dont believe him. i think sean just told him not to tell me. but were actually getting on better than ever so far. sry not part of the question...
so how do i deal with this, on top of dealing with boys who make fun of me anyways, and without taking my mind off school work!!???

if ur gonna give me an answer like "you shouldnt be worrying about this instead of ur school work" because thats exactly what im trying to do!! and plus i cant help it cuz they distract me so much!! oh and if u call this "childish nonsense", remember im only in middle school. im 12. of course im gonna act childish cuz i AM a child!! and dont tell me to ignore them cuz i tried that. its even worse because if i do they all join in till i say something, and they did it for 2 days straight once. while i was ignoring them.

jake isnt the one who started the rumor. ive turned down logan before and when i told him, his whole face just lit up like a light bulb.

dont let it get to you. they are immature. i went through it in 7th grade many years ago. guess what? it doesnt even affect me anymore. just hold your head up and keep your mind on school.

Its a troubled life you live, with boys, isnt it?
When you have some one who "likes" you, and your "going" with some one else, rumors are started so that you eventually break up with that person your "going" with, and the person who started the rumor, thinks he has a chance at your affections then.
But, most times, when you find out who started the rumor, you end up not liking them because they broke up "your situation" in which you were happy with.
Boys wont let progress stop and start, because they dont realize that eventually, you will break up with your boyfriend because of this or that, and he would have had an opportunity for your affections.
Its just "sibling rivarly" taken from the home and put in a different situation, but, it still is the same. This boy, obviously likes you and doesnt want you to have anyone else.
Now, you must deal with it, as a mature person, and let him know that it was inappropriate for him to do that, and inform your current boyfriend of the situation and let him know that he is still "#1" in your book!
Jake will NEVER admit to it, because he will be thought of, as a scoundrel. And no girl will go out with him then. Just let jake know, that you know, he did it, and dont worry about what he says, because he will "have" to deny it, to save "face" with everyone else.
When you grow up, you wont have this much problems, your just "starting to get to know" the ropes and they are slippery on the slopes of life.

Well, there used to be rumor that I was in a three some with these two girls, which is funny cuz ive never even had a girlfriend. I had to just laugh along with them until everyone got bored and realized it didnt bother me... even though it did!

Easy life lesson. Don't worry about what others say or think about you if it isn't true. They are not worth your time or mental energy.
If it affects you or people you care about, address it with those people you care about and set the record straight. They can accept your word or they cannot. If they do not accept it, then you probably don't owe them the energy to try and prove or over explain anything
