that was because when you asked the question..you left the checkmark in the box that says notify me by mail whenn somone replies..
usually only emails I get is when I am told i have best answer..
or you can get one from a persons question you answer if you helped them and the click on your name if you have it setup where they can send you a note..
but that will come in as you recived a message from (whoever sent it)

Just disable the option. The only notices I get are the ones telling me I have BEST ANSWERS.
