Pardon me? We see homosexual behavior in all animals. We can now check certain chemicals and see if the child will have more of a response to their own gender. People are born gay. Where have you been? Like eye-color, skin-color, nationality, it is a part of being born. If you want a list of famous and great homosexuals, I am sure we can give you a link or two.

The Christian "anti-programmers" have failed miserably in supposedly praying people back straight.

I am straight. I have gay, straight, and bi- friends and family. For that matter, I would bet you do too if they only felt safe enough coming out to you.

So, read a bit and expand your mind. Homosexuals do not want you to convert. They want to be allowed to live. Google Matthew Shepherd and see what has happened and continues to happen. Dr. Phil?! Please!

For the most part... they work. They also spend.

I'm not sure respect is the right word. Companies just figured out that gay folks have lots of disposable income, and started advertising a hellofa lot more to them, even if they are "Christian" companies. Gay couples are on the top of the list, because they usually have no children.

For the most part, people see gay people as flamboyant, drugged out, flaming, etc... simply because that's what the media portrays them as. And these new gay channels aren't helping much either.

I don't think we will ever be respected. Admired?... maybe for our strange freedom amid depression. Tolerated?... sure, as long as we keep spending the money and cleaning up neighborhoods!

Look pal, if you are Christian... I reccomend that if you like Jesus so much you go and marry him, or if you want I can have you hung up by fish hooks and dipped into a pool of chromic acid very slowly. If not, well, I can do the same for you or I can help you the traditional Mongolian way: Hang you out by your entrails and have you paraded around the town. People who are homosexual deserve respect now because for the harder part of 2000 years they have been hung, drowned, shot and what not.

Sounds like you are the one with issues, especially if you enjoy the "pop" psychology of "Dr. Phil". He is little better than Larry the Cable Guy with a new Vocabulary.

PS try English classes. You won't sound so much like a Jerry Springer reject.

"Homosexuality is not a learned behavior. A sexual orientation is inherited; you are wired that way."-one Dr. Phil

I think it's something to do with the reason black people and women "get respect" (not nearly enough in either case): we, too, have finally stood up and stopped taking everyone's ****.

I think Phil is a showboater. It's about time gays got respect. Too bad it's not widespread, though. Not at all in MY area of PA.

I see no reason why any one would want to be gay. Gays were shunned by many cultures for a long period of time, and they could never have families untill recently. Being gay has led people to commit suicide because of rejection of their family and friends. So, I really don't see why anyone would want to be gay. I'm gay, and I want to be straight more than anything in the world, but I can't, because I was born that way, and I will never feel attraction to women. People can't just change sexual orientations.

Ok for one thing can NOBODY use proper grammar on here?!? I'm going to have an ulcer....

Anyway, um yeah, get your head out of the warm dark place it's in and take a look at the real world. For one thing, gays do not get a lot of respect.
