I am writing a paper on Abortion for an Ethics class, and I'm curious to know the 'cost' of an abortion vs. carrying a pregnancy to term and giving it up for adoption...

Stop in at your local Planned Parenthood location. And, it's OK if it's not for Ethics class, I don't judge.

Here's their locations in Houston, starts on this page and continues on:

Cost a Factor

Some news reports say that an RU-486 abortion may cost about $75 - $100 more than a surgical abortion, but other providers say that they have to charge double the price of a surgical abortion because of the extra visits, counseling and monitoring involved.75

A first trimester surgical abortion generally costs $300-$375. Two clinics mentioned in press accounts said they charge $600 for an RU-486 abortion.

Go to AbortionTV.com the website is very informative. Also if you want to know the price of the abortion Pill call up some clinics that perform abortions and ask. Also abortions cost more depending on how far along you are. the earlier the cheaper. I have had one my self and it was the biggest mistake of my life. I wish I would have been more informed. I payed $1000 for mine. being pregnant and having a baby shouldnt be about what is cheaper, this is a childs life. I have two children and one on the way and I would rather go through having 100 more then having one more abortion. You can always make things work when you have kids but you can never go back and get the baby back you killed. JMO

Hmmm,

I would say the cost of two souls is quite high.

You may also want to include this as a non-abortion option:

There are abortion alternatives, I am glad that you are also covering adoption!

Peace!
