i think you did the right thing. you felt that the children you gave birth to deserved a chance at a better life then you could give them right? (i'm not bashing just going off of what you said) if that is how you felt then you made a good decision. it means you were thinking of their best interests. there are many women out there who can't have any kids of their own. you gave them the chance to raise a baby by allowing them to adobt yours. you should rest easier knowing that your children will have good lives. now in the future these kids may want to know who you are and why you gave them up for adoption. you need to decide if you want them to find you and be prepared for that to happen. but if the kids are still very young then you have plenty of time.

Yes maybe a little lax on the birth control, but hey it happens. I had two boys very young and my only option in my mind was adoption. I was in no way ready to raise children, I too was lax with the pill, and I couldn't go through with abortions. I feel that I gave my kids the best I could, LIFE! They both went to really wonderful people who were unable to have children of their own. I don't regret my decisions, I am proud of what good choices I was able to make at such a young age.
Now that I'm older, married with a little girl and pregnant again, I wonder if they will feel resentment towards me when they are older. I just hope hey do come find me when they are of age, and I can explain to them why I made the choice I did for them.

If you have the child and you are not prepared to take care of them then it is best to give them up for adoption. You should consider better forms of birth control however because the adoption process does not work out in all cases.

I think you did a great thing and you have a lot of courage. You gave the gift of life. I wish more people would not just take the easy way you. Thank you for what you did.

i personally dont agree with it, but some woman cant have children, and some dont want children, are to self absorbed, to take care of a child. and it is better for the child to be adopted than to be hated mistreated or abused in any way wether it be mentally, physically,(sexually)or emotional.my advise is to either keep your legs closed, keep condoms on hand, or a better type of birth control.

OF COURSE ADOPTION IS WONDERFUL FOR THE PEOPLE WHO CANT HAVE CHILDREN AND SO DESPERATELY WANT THEM, BUT PERHAPS SINCE YOU DONT HAVE THE ABILITY TO USE YOUR BIRTH CONTROL RESPONSIBLY YOU WOULD CONSIDER HAVING YOUR TUBES TIED.
