I grow various herbs in my garden and my Guinea Pig likes the Parsley, Corriander, and Basil. I have been feeding him that for some time but have wondered if it is really good for his nutritional needs.

I feed my two piggies Parsley on a regular basis. They dweeeeaaab like mad when they smell it..... If they like what you are feeding them then keep feeding it to them. Herbs are full of nutrients and very good for them. Guineas will know what NOT to eat just by instinct.
Regular leaves from corn on the cob, beans, curly kale, apples, blue berries (they love those), pieces of banana, carrots, cucumber, tomato's, dandelion leafs & romaine lettuce is good too plus a plentiful supply of hay and fresh grass.
Mine spend a bit of time in the garden - they have "mowing" duties!!!!!
The occasional lump of dry bread is nice for them too. Not forgetting their usual Guinea Food I supply mine with Supr Guinea!!!!!

The vast majority of herbs are safe for piggies ^.^. The best ones are those with a high vitamin C content, such as parsley. Endive is another good one. Try to avoid anything with seeds as piggies tend to gag and/or choke on the hulls. I don't know if they'd like chive as the strong flavor and scent might turn them off.

On a limited basis, you should get a guinea pig book to find out what they can and can't eat.

well i feed mine very little parsley but my 4 happen to love cilantro a breeder told me that its like a piggie chocolate

Oh! my yes that is A OK! They also love clover, and thistle!
Keep feeding it to him if you like, It will NOT do any harm! Swiss chard is another great one. God Bless

Yes they love them I have one they really like it and it's good for them but they usually eat veggies Hey they can eat mine at lunch!
