Congratulations to you!! I have two boys and I was miserable by now when I was 34.5 weeks along! There are some tell tell signs, but remember all woman are different in there own special way. Towards the end you may start to loose your mucus plug, which will leave a slightly green discharge, your hip joints will also start to loosen, to prepare for the baby to pass through. You will know this is happening cause it will hurt to walk. Some woman drop right before birth, which just feels like a ton of bricks were lifted off your stomach, it will feel a little easier to breath. One more thing that says it's almost time, is you will have more, and stronger braxton hicks contractions.
Good luck to you, it's such a miracle!!!

At 34 1/2 weeks, you don't want to go into labor yet. It's too early for you baby to be born as healthy as (s)he could be. Normal pregnancy should last between 38 and 42 weeks. Until then, baby's lungs arn't ready, among other things.
I went into early labor with both of my babies. The first time, I didn't know it was labor. It was only after 4-5 days of contractions that my husband called my doctor and they forced me to the hospital. As a result, I spent the longest 4 weeks of my life on bedrest.
With the second, I knew the signs and went to the hospital after 12 hours of contractions. One day in the hospital and I was home. That time I was just on meds and light duty.
Lesson learned: don't wait, see the doctor if you think you might be in labor.
Early labor contractions don't hurt. Honestly, with the first baby, I thought she was just stretching around in there. Put one hand on either side of your belly button. If both sides of your abdomen go hard at the same time and stay hard for more than 20 seconds, it's a contraction.
Braxton-Hicks contractions are normal at this point in pregnancy. Your body is preparing for your baby's birth. But if you're concerned, get a paper and write down what time the contractions start. If they're regular (between 5 and 15 minutes apart) for more than a few hours, call your doctor right away.
It's too early for your baby to be born yet. No matter what signs people tell you to look for, including the baby "dropping", losing your mucus plug, and the amazement that your body could have possibly expanded to the point it will reach in a few weeks, unless you're in labor or you're leaking amneotic fluid, it'll definately be in about 6 weeks.
And really... don't worry.... It's not that big a deal. It's one little day of your life where a little pain and discomfort ends in incredible joy that will last you for years and years.
Congratulations and good luck!

1. Timing of contractions. contractions come at regular intervals and get closer together. They last 30-90 seconds. 2. Change of movment. False laber- contractions may stop when you walk, rest, or change positions. True labor- contractions keep coming no matter what you do. 3. Strength of contractions. Contractions steadily get stronger. 4. Pain of contractions. Pain usually starts in the back and moves to the front. You can also tell if labor is near if..... You get a feeling that the baby has dropped lower in your belly. Discharge (clear, pink, or slightly bloody) Fluid leaking from "that area" in a trickle or a gush.

each person is different. For my sister in law, she was in labor for 3 hours, while one of my friends was in labor 14 hours. For some women they have back pains, others would have a cramping feeling. Some might not have any until their water breaks. I hope all goes well in the delivery and congratulations.

You've got until 40 or 42 weeks, so don't rush it. If you're feeling like you are in labor, it's probably just Braxton-Hicks contractions. Put your feet up and take it easy! Trust me, you do not want to go into labor early! God bless!

You will begin to feel contractions. Or, you might bleed. In either case, you need to go to the hospital or maternity center(whichever you have chosen to have your baby at). If you begin labor at anytime, then you defiently need to go quickly.
