i know that they stopped showing sailor moon in the states in 2000, but why?

((i loved that show until they started adding new people and making it confuzzling 0.o))
they probably lost the rights to it. that's what happened with outlaw star.

I actually enjoyed Sailor Moon. For the longest time I was looking for the manga, but nothing came up. I enjoyed the show as a kid, but I'd rather they give me the real story in Japanese with sub-titles. Sailor Moon was really the show that got me into anime. So I'm pretty glad for that. Toonami, in my opinion should have it's own channel. Then I could see all the old school action cartoons of the past. Sorry I can't be of more help, but it seems like the show may not be seen again on regular channels.

During the last season a lot of things that were " inappropriate " to show children appeared. The fifth season had the the Sailor Stars and they were originally Women and turned into men. Also, their suits showed too much I think. Another reason is, during the last episode Sailor Moon came out without any clothes on. That was the main reason.

I LOVED that show!!!! Its to bad they took it off the air. I think the reason why they took the show off of the air was because that it was too adult themed.Like whenever Sailor Moon and the Sailor Scouts would transform they would show "private"parts of their bodies.But not enough to accutually let you see them well.Not that I looked!!!LOL! Another reason:it could be because they{the network} wanted to cycle in some more shows and they felt that Sailor Moon had aired long enough and that it was time for a change. I LOVED that showjust like you and I wish it wish it would come back on the air a gain someday!!!! "SHE IS THE ONE,SAILOR MOON!!!!!" LOL!!

They stopped showing The show after the 4th season because the fifth season had the sailor stars which were Men that turned into women. The U.S didn't dubbed that season because Kids and there parent would think that was weird.

You can't just keep repeating the same shows over and over and over. At some point you have to move on (seven years after they finished airing them is probably a good time).
Or, if you want more, google "PGSM torrents" and start downloading the 2004 live action sailor moon series.

the 1st 4 seasons of Sailor Moon have been dubbed, yet curiously they did not renew their licenses and it became taken off the air in english speaking international locations. you could try searching for the episodes on You Tube or figuring out to purchase the DVDs on Ebay, which may be plenty greater decrease priced.

No one knows exactly why they took it off. They only got to the third season. There have been many efforts to put it back on.
