does anyone know how much it costs to file bankruptcy in illinois WITHOUT a lawyer? I understand it is just court costs and a lot of paperwork involved, but i would like to know what those court costs are. THANX.

If you're not indigent - Chapter 7 filing costs like $294. You can file for either a waiver of costs or a payment schedule. You pay no further costs afterwards.
