just wondering what your avg. work week adds up to. mine is usually between 65 and 80 , i have some pay stubs of 100 + (1 week)hours. spring, summer, and fall usually longer hours. is this normal? Forestry heavy equipment operator

normal week for me is 36-40 hours. but once upon a time i used to work a full time and a part time job while i was also in college full time. now that i don't have to, i only work overtime as a favor if they really need me. i make my expenses fit my income so that i don't have to work so much. but i think often in heavy industries like forestry it is probably more common to have long hours. but you must be exhausted! just make sure you take some time for yourself and your family so that you can stay healthy and productive.

I work in an office- and I work normally 40 hours a week. RIght now there is no overtime because production has slowed down but beginning next spring it will be back up to 50 hours a week or more.

40-55 hours/ week depending on business volume.
At one job I worked 72 hours one week and 84 hours the next (12 hour days, every other Sun. off.) My take home pay for 72 hours was more than my take home pay for 84 hours. So if I were you, I would try to get some time off!

I am salaried so I work 40 hours and not a minute more. No way would I work over 40 hours for free, which is what would happen to me since I am salaried.
