Gossips may have a bit of truth in it but is not to be taken seriously as a stretched truth is more harmful than a complete lie. Gossips originate from jealousy and/or with the intention to portray others in a bad light. Sometimes it may be started just for fun's sake, but it becomes very difficult to take back something that has been said and this is very true of rumors.
