Does emergen-c alter your flu symptoms?

I have been taking emergen-c for about a year now and quite often if I have experienced a cold or flu, my body has not felt the normal effects of the sickness (though my head still suffers close to normal). I feel completely normal except in my head (heaviness/dizziness associated with the cold). Could this be the effect of a daily dose of emergen-c? Ever heard of such a thing?

i don't take it daily but once many twice a week and no side effects !
