I have great relationship with woman. I have had many opportunities to listen in on conversations. Most have said to me it is a matter of wanting to feel that a guy shows he misses what he once had. To feel anything less would be an insult to the love and attention girls once gave. This is in conflict with most guys stance that they never let a girl know just how much he is hurting. So feeling the need to feel important girls go out of there way trying to get reactions from their exs. Time and the realization that girls don't really need a guy to tell them if there time together was or wasn't important usually cures the problem.

(from my perspective). Most women are not equipped by our society to deal with modern day life. The combination of hormones, sexual pressure, and the lie of being "uber-woman" (being rich, skinny, a mom, a lover, a career woman, etc.) drives most women crazy. They are taught that they are not complete unless they are in love with someone. And tend to give themselves, and be truly hurt when rejected.
They don't actually become sane until close to menopause. Women are in a dichotomous universe- if they sleep around, they are whores, if they don't, they are frigid, yada, yada. All this swirling emotion, needs to go somewhere. They are fed the "dream" that somehow, the person they hook up with will be the one to complete them. But in truth, we can only complete ourselves. And that is a long arduous process. And in frustration, they let their emotions, and superior communication capability turn into a poisonous attitude about the last person who let them down. (who may be a schmuck.) But the truth is, women cause problems for their ex's because they can't or don't want to confront the issues that brought about the end of the relationship, and the Ex is the whipping person.

Because we never want what we already have, but when we loose it we want it back again. If we get them back again we start to wonder why we ever wanted them back in the first place. Theres always a reason why they are xs in the first place and after the initial honeymoon period of being re-united, the reasons start to smack us in the eye again. Life can be a tormenting sod at times :-)

Dont think decent people make trouble for them. Im still friendly with all my exes and i wouldnt wish any of them any harm. Even the real WAN##RS!!

personally i have never made trouble 4 any of my exs,b ut i know some 1 who has it made her feel in control of a situation she wasnt in control of if u know what i mean

i dont make trouble for them they are the past so i dont care
unless they happen to say some crap to my mates like jamie did.
i wasn't even there to defend myself!
he was slagging me off talking crap to my best friend and her workmate on friday night.
luckly my best friend slapped him one and told him to grow up.
i hadnt even seen him for over a year so when i found out i went to where he works and tipped a drink down his white shirt. and he has never lived it down.
and he is the only one i have even done anything to. they just aint worth it. and i still talk to a couple of them.

because they must have done something to hurt us so thats why after the relationship has ended girls tend to dwell on the bad things in the relationship. this soon goes with time

I don't, but the ones that do are doing it to get back at them or because they are not ready to let go. Some, I imagine, are just attention whores.
