and has anyone tried this "ThermoControl" thing? the blurb says "specially developed fibre helps keep your body at constant temperature". Should we risk it? or go for something completely different?

Down, boy. It drapes (wraps) round the body much better than the synthetics, sneaking into that chilly little hollow at the base of your spine, and slipping round your shoulders in the winter. The filling will tend to slide down, so get one with a good pocketed design.

PS your body keeps your body at constant temperature, anyway.

Thick, fluffy feather duvet and get a 4 season one which is like 2 duvets that clip together. Definately the best on i've ever had. Not sure about the thermo control thing usually means they're great either in summer or winter but not both!

Big squashy hollowfibre!

The thermo one sounds expensive but if you want it go for it, they've probably tested it so they can make that claim.

I wouldn't reccomend feather as they tend to all slide down to the end and then your duvet falls off and you get cold!

Do you mean an actual DUVET?

Or the thing North Americans think is called a duvet but isn't.
