What was the show supposed to be about other than chipmunks i don't need anyone to state the obvious. i used to love this show and it just came into my head and i was just wondering.

I think the concept of that cartoon was that this guy adopted these 3 lil chipmunks and somehow no one cared or possibly knew that they were chipmunks! I mean as a young kid, I knew they werent humans but everyone else in the cartoon never mentioned??

Simon was the tall skinny one that was the braniac always tried to talk Alvin out of whatever it was that alvin wanted to do.
Theodore was the short fat one that loved to eat and afraid of everything.
Alvin was the average sized one that always got into trouble and was the "leader".
They were singers and later there were the Chipettes, same premise as the Chipmunks but girls.

He was sort of like an adoptive father, manager, whatever for them. I think it might have been a way to use adapted voices in a comic format for the first time. I liked it too and you have to admit, that Christmas song has endured.

No he found them they were orphans.
Dave was their producer. They were music stars and Alvin was always getting into trouble. The other two were Simon and Theodore. One was tall and the other was short and chubby.
