Like some guy on the Jim Rome radio show said today (and this may not be word for word), "those people who dress up like its Halloween every Sunday and show up at the game with their skanks" are the laughing stock of the NFL right now because their team is NOT competitive. I'm kinda sad really because the Raiders used to be a great franchise. My thought is after Al Davis is out of the picture, the Raiders have a chance at greatness again.

First off, I dare you to walk into the Black hole and say that.
second, they have officially sucked for the last 2 seasons and this one just started. before that we were the best team in the league and because of an idiot coach who did not change up the plays when the other coach is the one who designed them, we lost.
The Raiders have always had the skulls.
and have you looked at the Denver fans recently. they don't know if they are madri gra or clowns. in orange and blue to. Uggg.
we may be the laughing stock but at least we are true fans and not fair weather fans like most of you.

News flash: It's not a team; it IS a brand. Same goes for every franchise in the NFL. Ever heard of NFL Shop? You might want to Google it sometime.
While you're googling, if you want proof, the numbers are hard to find, but the Raiders generally are one of the top three selling franchises in the league.
Folks sure ain't buyin' 'em because they're winning Super Bowls. So why do you think that is? It's because of the image.
And yes, as silly and contrived as it might be when they're losing so badly, half of their appeal is the whole "Mad Max on crack" thing. I love that they have such a devoted fan base, and that the rest of the NFL has that gang of thugs to player-hate.

I love how you start out by saying you are trying to be serious then you throw out nothing but homo jokes and third grade insults...
As a fan of a team (which you failed to mention whom you cheer for) you support a team (which made the Super bowl just a few years ago) every year...you know when your team needs help and you know where improvment is needed...I live in Chicago next to wrigley, so talk to Cub fans who continue to come out and you will see what being a fan is about...
Now, at what point did you see any one out here defending the Raiders as the best team in the league...You didn't, you saw fans rooting for their team on opening night...yeah, it was an awful performance, but I am not going to find a new team because they are in a down time...Let me guess you are a Pats fan until last year then you became a Steelers fan...Fair weather fans have no place talk trash...so I give all Raider Nation the hats off for being real fans that stick with a team through thick and thin...

The only reason why Raider merchandise sells is becasue of the Gangsta look made popular by Eazy-E and Ice Cube in the early 90's. That fad is over.

Check your medication I think you forgot to take something today. With anger like that maybe soccer would be a more suitable sport for you, then after your team loses you could go on the field and kill some people or have a riot that we can watch on 'youtube'.

Go Chargers!!
I wish we had played consistantly enough at the end to actually shut them out though (they could have easily made a FG, but they wanted to be 'cool' so they went for the TD).
