Shampoo? Are you going to rinse this carpet? Are you using a method called "Spin Bonnet"? This a for a surface cleaning or interim cleaning method. Are you using a fast water extraction system. (like wet vacuum) for a deeper clean?

If you want a spotter that's a whole different topic. What spot are you removing? That will be the question. When you work a spot, try not to make it bigger by working it with a spoon or other device toward it's center. Don't spread it out. Blot it with a White Towel as color could transfer from a colored towel. If it doesn't come out after a rinse, try try again.

If you prespraying and traffic areas especially , you would use a regular alkaline cleaner. Rinsing and reapplying if necessary. Soap is made up of an alkaline cleaner for dishes your hair etc...the PH is on the alkaline side...ok? So once this soap is put on, it will need some mild aggitation and then a rinse. Basically if we rent a machine to do it, we want a lot of suction. The little HR machines don't work that well. Commercial rentals are much better from a U-Rent-It type of place for larger jobs. Some large Janitorial suppliers have models for rent that work much better. It's what you lift up and away that counts, right? The commercial machines have more power lift in this case.

I buy commercial products made for our 5th and 6th generation carpets of today. Some are made to dry into a crystal chemical residue that is vacuumed up after the fact in fast water extraction systems or wet type restorative cleaning. They have optical brighteners and odor counteractants built in. Spartan Chemical Company makes a great carpet line which was very competetive with Johnson's Wax or Butchers Wax two of the old leaders in our cleaning products industries and all Larger suppliers have laboratories and you can ask for technical advise in case you have a problem. Pet odors need to be neutralized, people have odors too...but mostly we have oil and acids that our feet spread onto our carpet even if we are bare footed we soil things, don't we. Would be nice if we could just mop off a carpet wouldn't it? Hope this shed some insight. Oh, and guess what...the bubbles you see in your soaps don't do anything to clean your clothes. They are for us to see that we applied the soap, then they dissappear too. More soap than recommended is not good ! The bubbles are a sign then, that residue is left on our clothes or carpets, dishes etc.! Just because you don't see bubbles, doesn't mean there is no soap in there. Honest! Ask a Chemical Lab Tech.

it is not trouble-free to locate a carpet shampoo that doesn't comprise Scotch shield or an identical stain repellent product. i became into informed by a fixtures saleswoman that Scotch shield has been discovered interior the blood of little ones while they're uncovered to fixtures or carpets, etc taken care of with it. which could no longer be good. whether it does not have Scotch shield, i might elect to no longer use it. The chemical components in cleaners like that scare me, while it is composed of my son. i do no longer believe that the chemical components are thoroughly long gone as quickly as the carpet dries--and the scent of them will inform you that. whether the chemical components do evaporate, they are going into the air of your place and the relatives is respiration them in. I nonetheless shampoo my carpets, yet I in simple terms use vinegar particularly of the shampoo. i can't assure that it gets them as sparkling, yet a minimum of i think like i've got carried out some thing and the water does come out grimy. Vinegar does not scent the perfect in spite of the undeniable fact that it is thoroughly non-poisonous and the scent dissipates while it dries. you would be able to desire to apply trouble-free water, too. i comprehend I possibly sound uptight approximately it, yet i think it is extra effective to be secure. good success.

Don't put anything in a carpet cleaning machine that wasn't marketed as a carpet cleaner suitable for machines. If you just put ordinary soap in there, it will won't work right.

For hand scrubbing the carpet, I just use dish soap diluted with lots of water.
