I'm not quite sure I understand your question, but a research paper should be based on KNOWN FACTS. You may be in favor of this research or against it, but that should not come into play here. Things you should focus on include what this is, what it can do, what people hope it can do, how it works, and if you want to get into the political side of it you can explain the case for stem cell research and against it. But all of your information should come from other sources.

There are some important concepts you should cover:
What are embryonic stem cells, and what are they used for (why is the practice significant)
What kind of scientific progress had been made with EST research, and what are possible directions for the future?
Explain the controversy (ethical implications) over stem cells.

This is a very important paper. Especially in these times. I think you should focus on one side of the issue. I would suggest focusing on the side that will allow for stem cell research. Talk about its many many benefits. Talk about how it will help our society. You can get into the moral and economical sides of the research as well.
Eventually Stem cell research will be a part of everyday medical practice. Its papers like yours that will help open peoples eyes and shed light on what will be an undertaking of magnificient proportion.
If you don't believe in it than I would suggest a narrow minded Republican religious point of view paper.
either way pick a side and fight for it. Teachers like that. I should know cause I are one.
Good Luck

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stem_cell you can say that stem cells can be saved in a laboratory to be used if you break your back or need a medula transplant becuase these cells reproduce but you only have them when you are and embryo. Also that stem cells have the ability to reproduce like no other cells (exept the ones of the liver) and these cells can work for any organ in your body.. please give me the 10 points!!
