yes, she can take you back with your promotion. Child Support goes off your wages and nothing else, or that's how it is in this state anyway, (courts don't seem to be too concerned about dad's living expenses as long as they over compensate for all the deadbeats out there, and charge harsh, imposed cash figures. BUT, if she has a job, is bringing in money, has another man in the house to support her, you might stand a chance..... Get in contact with a group like Father's United (just type that in a search engine, or try "father's legal rights", etc) there's a couple non profit guys out there who've started groups like "Father's united" specifically designed to help the GOOD dads out there that get shat on with the deadbeats... good luck

I'm raising my daughter from my first marriage. The older she gets, the more expensive things get for them. When I do ask for more child support, it's not for me, it's for her. If he's making more money then he should be glad that he's able to do even more for her then he was before. Last year it was wal-mart shoes for back to school, this year she went to the mall and got Nike's and other name brand clothing. All because her father started making more money. Don't look at is as bad. I do wish you the best.
BTW, I get along with my ex and that does make a difference.

I know that here in Alabama, I am currently taking my ex back, because he pays NOTHING for our two kids. State law here, says you can ask for a child support review EVERY 6 months. If there has been no change in income status, she can be help responsible for contempt and fined. Good Luck, but remember, either way, anything extra you can do for your kids is great.

You betcha'... the income you made that amounted to what you're paying now has changed, but I would check to see what your state laws are.
Some ex-wives have this funny habit of being 'laid' off at the time of the court hearing and miraculously getting their job back after the adjustment. It's simply amazing how the court system works!

Child support law are state laws and vary from state to state.
If ex your wants to increase child support, she can file a request for modification of the child support order, no matter how old it is (instate of California). The law requires that she shows a change of circumstances since the last order. You can on the other hand petition to reduce the amount of payment you are presently making too if her circumstance change.

A lot of women (ladies notice how I didn't say ALL) are greedy gold diggers who expect even what they don't deserve. But if she took you back to court, the general rule is that judges won't touch a modification UNLESS it changes the amount given/received by 20%.

Texting lets you control the tone and establish what kind of conversation you want to have. Learn here https://tr.im/MWr9v
This is probably the most important part. With texting, you can stop and think about what you want to say to your ex at each step of the way. Instead of reacting emotionally, you can take your time, figure out the right thing to say (I’ll give you most of it), and be strategic with your ex without saying something that you’ll regret.
