Will Brett Favre sit out some quarters, or even games this season to give his back ups some oppotunities to show what they can do.

No, Favre is a God in Green Bay. He could throw 5 interceptions in a game and the coach won't so much as look at him funny.

Would it make any difference if Favre plays or doesn't play? It is sad to see this great first ballot HOF QB stumble through another losing season on this doomed team. I'd rather remember him as the potent weapon of a few years ago when he had a good team around him. I think the Packers should try to trade him (if he would allow it and the Packers could get some needed young talent in return). Maybe he could wind up somewhere with a better O-Line and have a good season while the Packers could point toward the future with some better young talent obtained via the trade route.

There's no way Mike McCarthy sits Brett Favre this early in the season.

Yes, Aaron Rodgers is the future, but if you give him a shot, you are essentially benching a Hall of Fame quarterback, and that is taboo in the NFL. Especially in Green Bay where Favre is worshiped like the Second Coming.

I don't know what the Pack is going to do @ QB this year. BUT, don't count Favre out! Let's not forget that he is a legend as well as the franchise QB. Personally, I think he still has a winning season in him. If they could protect him in the pocket, that would be nice. And, if he had someone to give the ball to, that would be even better. With the exception of 10/2 when he comes to Philly to play my boys, I hope he has an outstanding final year!

Farve really isn't the problem. Any QB would struggle in that environment. Every QB needs a little time to get rid of the ball. If they sit him it will probably be to keep him from getting hurt, in a game they can not possibly win.

Brett should have left, but not due to a lack of ability. Because of a lack of protection.

I am not quite ready to count out Farve...in his favor he played the best D in the NFL against Chicago...so lets see what he can do out there this weekend...They just signed Koren Robinson so he has a proven (even with his baggage) WR opposite Driver and Green looked good fighting for those 110 yards...

Give Farve two more weeks...if it continues to look this bad then call it over.

i think of that this question relies upon heavily on the Detroit Lions. There are commerce talks around approximately Josh McCown getting traded to the Raiders. If this occurs they're going to take Calvin Johnson with the aid of fact the 1st average p.c.. allowing them to furnish Randy Moss to the Packers for a 2d or third around p.c... If the Raiders are compelled into taking JaMarcus Russell then he is going to need somebody to throw to and the disgruntled Randy Moss will stay in Oakland. a 0.33 situation (unlikely yet a situation) is that if a great WR like Dwayne Bowe Russell's group mate and #a million WR from LSU drops to them on the 1st p.c.. in around 2 they might nevertheless commerce Moss and p.c.. up various the best guards popping out with green Bay's 2d around p.c.. leaving the third and 4th around options to solidify something of the O-Line.

I hope not, Rodgers is not ready and he may never be. Keep Favre in there, get the #1 pick and choose Brady Quinn from Notre Dame.

Given the History of sports and the investment they have in Rodgers, I'd say yes. Will they release Brett and let him play elsewhere though? I don't think so.

I doubt it. I doubt they will ever be in a position this year to sit Favre. Favre is their best chance of winning. Ellen Rogers sucks ***.
