I was emotionally unavailable for a while, but my wife was able to break down that barrier, and our relationship is great now. I never forget birthdays, christmas or aniversaries, in fact, I am often praised for my ability to give good, thoughtfull gifts, and people are often surprised by the things that I remember they wanted when they just mentioned it in passing months before a holiday came around. There aren't very many "good" cards out there, so I usually just try to find one that doesn't say much, and write something good in it myself.

Well to answer this question I took a look at your page. you have the most lovely smile, and I really liked your hair back as your face has such a nice shape. No I do not think I am emotionally unavailable. I however do not like to buy cards I like to write something of my own that brings back a memory or special moment that was spent together. Or a little something that lets them know you still look at them. for instance.... as I looked at your smile then turned away I had to look back for its beauty gripped me sometimes things get taken for granted but your smile is like the sun set once it is gone I cannot wait for another day to see the sun in its captivating glory this is what your smile reminds me of and I hope that other will do all they can to bring out your smile.

Real people don't. Remember that all of us have a variety of IQ's. some of us are better at emotional response, communication, etc. Others are stronger at mechanical, physical, etc skills. But what some others have mentioned has some truth. If you look for "boy-toys" or "mimbos" you'll probably not get the emotional nurturing you need. If this person seems to have 90% of what you want..then you should stay. If it's less than 60%, then you should prepare to move on.

Hi Sasha! Not all men are that way, but most are. And it's soley based on how men and women's brians are different. Women utilize the cerebral cortex for thier emotional needs where men still utilize the primative amagdyla. Some men do act as if they use thier cerebral cortex with regards to emotion. These men are either very considerate or are playing you. I recommend you pick us a book called "Why Gender Matters". It's fab!

We're not! You know what? I'm a passionate, open minded romantic with a fun imagination married to a woman who wants no part of it, so don't think men have the market cornered on insensitivity! And no, it's not braggin, it's fact!!! And you're right about Lothario, BTW. I've read his "work"!

I pretty much never buy cards for my wife. I write her love letters instead. Nothing I ever see in a card really expresses how I feel about her. Holidays are nice, but I'm sure she likes it more when I grab some flowers for her on a random weekday, or drop a love note on the table before I go to work for her to see when she comes home for lunch.
Ok, that's enough personal stuff. I apologize in advance for guys who are not romantic. There are some out there, I'm sure there's one for you who is not fat and bald. ;)

Men are just different. They show their love for you differently than you chose to express it. That is all. The very same man that might forget a birthday or fails to discuss every little feeling is the same man that would give his life for you.
Know when to pick your battles.

I think a Man should not have to give cards on Christmas or Birthdays if he is spontaneous and suprizes you on occation with gifts or flowers. To some men the christmas is about the birth of christ not about you. He should recognize your birthday.
