Will ripping song from your cd to an mp3 player hurt the cd?
I have no clue about anything with mp3 players, no plz don't act like i'm completely stupid!

no. essentially what ripping does is play the song faster than normal all the while recording it into a file. it's basically a transfer of data. nothing to be concerned about

All you are doing is copying the song to the mp3 player (and converting the file to MP3.) Absolutely no damage at all, this is what they are designed to do.

It has the same effect as playing the CD.
