honey it is normal when u r breastfeeding u might not get period. That is what happened with so many of my friends. However, i was not breastfeeding so i got my period since the birth of my child.Regarding loosing weight, i did not loose my weight until my son was 1 year old. because i was into depression. Then slowly i started loosing my weight. Reasons: 1. i had to run after my son, 2.i shifted my place where everybody i met were slim by seeing them i started going for a walk with my son 3. i started controlling my portions. Dont worry ur baby is only a 6 months old. It takes time. Now my son is 2 yrs old. still i haven't gone back to my normal weight which is 8 pounds lighter.Good luck honey u r doing great job by breastfeeding ur baby.

I had a son 5 1/2 months ago and am breastfeeding too. I haven't gotten my period back either, and I am still up about 11 pounds. (After gaining about 40 during pregnancy.) With my other 3 kids, I went almost a full year after their births with no period. I don't remember how long it took to get back to my prepregnancy weight those times, but I always did!
Hang in there!

If you are breast feeding your period will not come back until you stop, it's a normal thing. Trying to lose weight at this time is not beneficial because it will affect the quality of milk that your baby is getting.

Well, it's is normal to have an abnormal period. Or none at all. One-ur under stress....two- Ur beastfeeding... I had the same problem....but i will miss mines for 2 months and then it will come. If u have more questions talk it up with ur doctor to make sure everything is normal.

Either you are lacatating enough to keep from menstruating again or....prego again. Nursing should keep you from gaining if you are drinking plenty of water, eating fresh veggies and low fat meats. That means no french fries, burgers, fast food, chips.
Good luck to you.
