I think it's because things happen for a reason but sometimes things happen to give us a reason.

I have experienced both. I find it hard to see the miracles when I am still dealing with the tragedies. The situational depression from a tragedy can sometimes be very hard on the mind. When my mind is cleared and I look back, I see the miracles that helped me through the tragedy.
Life is a miracle.

The reality without attitude is: Life isn’t fair.
The reality with attitude is that we only really know everything that’s happening with ourselves. There are many tragedies and miracles that happen to others that we’ll never know about, and we simply can’t assume that anyone else’s life is all terrible, or all wonderful because we simply have no idea of everything that’s happened to them.

i read in a book, sorry I forget the name, that before we are born our souls choose what life we want to live.Through our choices on earth we perfect our souls.A lack of what we may think is a miracle doesn't matter as long as you heart is right.It is a spiritual growth process for us.
