The reality is that no life is exclusively filled with miracles or tragedies. Life is such that each of our lives is dotted with both. We suffer, we find joy. We love, we suffer loss. Our hopes and expectations rise, some are fulfilled, many more are not.
Such is the nature of life - even those who appear to others to live charmed lives, if truth be told, have their portion of heartache and grief.

I agree, for the most part, with Timothy W., but want to add a little.
When experiencing tragedy, one often feels that his or her life is full of nothing BUT tragedy. Going through a hard time, it's difficult to focus on the positives. A person might start to think that he or she will never experience anything positive again because this all-consuming tragedy is so apparent.
And some people experience both miracle and tragedy. Sometimes a tragedy can become a miracle, even.

I believe that something is supposed to be learned by the tragedies we suffer in life. I lost my father four years ago in a terrible accident, before that happened I spent most of my time doing my own thing and not appreciating others. Since the death of my father, I spend most of my time now, not on myself, but on those who really matter. I also think that some people miss the small miracles in life. They tend to focus only on the horrible things that happen to them and not on the small miracles that occur daily.

We all have trials and tribulations, heartaches and pains. No one person has a just good luck and someone else only bad. Just because you haven't seen this person have bad luck befall them doesn't mean it doesn't happen to them. And just because you see someone who has a string of bad luck doesn't mean that fortune and happiness will not shine upon them one day. Life is a constant roller coaster of highs and lows, loops and curves. We have to go with the flow and appreciate the bad because it teaches us thing and makes us wise, and the good things are rewards for hanging on during the tuff times... Keep living and you will see all those lucky people become unlucky and all those unlucky people suddenly hit a winning streak. Heck ask any gambler in Vegas his/her take on this subject.

Forgive me if I offend you, but I am a religious person and this is what I believe. I feel that only God knows the big picture. We are just a dot on the eternal line. He is the only one who can see us, then, now, and in the future. He know's what is best for us at the moment. None of us will ever understand fully what we have to go through as human beings, but we just accept it and have faith that everything will be alright. In the meantime, we must live life to the fullest, serving others, and take it one stride at a time.
I look at it like a little child. There are things we as "grown-ups" understand that you could never explain to a child. They just wouldn't get it. But as that child grows older, experiences life and matures, things make more sense. The same goes with our relationship to God. He understands all. We don't have to. Sometimes we just aren't meant to understand it now. But later on down the road it makes more sense to us, sometimes it doesn't. There may be things in ones life that they will never understand until after death, when standing at the judgement bar. (Yes, I strongly believe there is life after death). It's not really that important right now.
No one person is alike therefore, not everyone can handle the same things. My honest belief is that God will never give any of us more than we can handle. He knows how mentally, physically, and spritually stable each one of us is, he knows what he can give to each of us. There are things that I have seen friends and family go through that I know for sure I would not be able to handle. And vice versa. That is what makes this world so unique.
Also, I know you didn't want to hear about attitude, but that does have a lot to do with it. The way we handle situations, will greatly determine how we get through them.
I hope that helps, and I honeslty do not mean to offend anyone. I respect an individual's views just as I would like them to respect mine.

It is examination or test given by nature to both type of people. For those who have miracles are more accountables then those have tragedies. Later is tested for his passions, for example. Remember! this life is like fraction of second. The real life starts after death.

One persons attitude is another persons reality.
For that matter, perception is greater than reality.
My own personal reality is that we all are blessed with daily miracles (big and small).
Whether we choose to recognize these daily wonders or ignore them, depends upon ourselves.
No doubt, some of us experience tragedies (great and small).
As to whether we choose to embrace the experience and learn from it or whether we choose to dwell on it and accept defeat again depends on the individual.
