Alright heres my question. When i conceived my son I took a hpt. and it came up at about 4 1/2 weeks pregnant. Now my question is this... Does conceiving a boy or a girl have anything to do with the production of the hcg in your body?!? Do boys produce the hormone faster than girls or does that have nothing to do with it at all??

Just curious... also no ignorant answers its just a curiousity question!!!

Thanks

For the one who must know how I knew I was 4 1/2 weeks pregnant I counted back the weeks from the first ultrasound I had gotten!! Does that satisfy you?!?!

I'm not sure, I've only had girls but with both, I found out I was pregnant at about 5 weeks along using a HPT. I know of people who have had boys and they found out aroudn the same time.

Boys do not produce the pregnancy hormone any faster than girls do. There is no medical proof that the sex of the baby makes the hormone produce faster or slower. I hope that helps with the curiosity.:)
congratulations on your pregnancy and Good Luck :)

wether or not you conceive a boy or girl has to do with the male sperm. It all depends on the amount of androgyn the male produces...

if the sperm that happens to fertilize your egg is laded with androgyn, then you have a boy, other wise you produce a girl...

The androgyn horomone may have something to do with the hcg production, maybe try researching that.... it will be very interesting to see what you find out.

The faster sperm gets the egg and if it is a male sperm, it doesn't stop and ask for directions.

I have heard that the pH of the uterus has some effect on the sperm carrying the y chromosome. Unless hpt has some effect on the pH of the lining of you uterus, I doubt if it had much effect.

How could you know that you were 4 1/2 weeks from just a HPT???

I really don't think it does, I am not totally sure, but never have heard it having an effect on the sex of your baby. Best wishes for a smooth pregnancy and Congrats on the baby!

I don't think it matters whether it's a boy or a girl, the rate is the same.

As far as I know you can not determine the sex of the babe by the hcg level.
