They did, The episode was going to be at the end of the third season but the show was cancelled before it was made. It left the series at a point where if they wanted to they could return to the D and D world if they wanted to. Fans tried to make the final episode themselves with computor graphics and stuff, but it was never made for tv audiences. I loved that show.

they made it home once but had to go back because stupid Eric the Cavalier was a frog. and the series was cancelled before they ever got home permenantly.
Altho there was one episode in which some other kids were taken to operate a giant clock and one of them was at school with Bobby the Barbarian and he was meant to go to the funfair with them but couldn't and next to no time had passed in their real world, it was the same evening!
So maybe we should be asking if they were stuck there and grew up, found lives, then got home would they go back to being kids again just like in The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe?

Not to my knowledge.
Is it just me, or is my memory of that cartoon faded. But does anyone else think the Dungeon Master from that cartoon looks a bit like Yoda? (of course, without the green skin)

Dungeon Master is a pimp. The kids are like his crack whores. Why would he ever let them go home? That would put a stop to his endless hours of entertainment.

Haven't seen that series in ages! (wonder if it's out on DVD for nostaglia's sake) I think they went back a couple of times but it never stuck and then the series was cancelled. Probably just as well homework and tidying your room would have seemed rather dull in comparison.

Now this is a serious fuc*king question : I remember one episode they got back but the cowardly paladin shi*t himself about something and they went back rather than leave him there alone (I'd a left the tw*at). For all I know they are still there.... I am tortured now & must know.

If I remember rightly they did but someone got left behind and they went back to get them and missed their chance to get back for good - all very sad.
There may have been an ending where it was all a dream of course.....
