depends on how deep it is, most furniture stores sell a leather finisher, incase of scratches, if it is more deep and has penetrated the leather, I would get a pro to patch it up.

Try washing the area with saddle soap and finish off with a leather furniture finish or oil.
You can buy saddle soap at a leather goods store.
Test first on the back or UN-seen part of the couch.
You can also buy kits at the leather furniture store.
