My friend told me that she is pregnant and her friend and her cousins are pregnant. She said that both her cousins are having boys and they were barely sick the first few months, but her and her other friend are having girls and they get sick constantly. I don't get really sick, I just have some pains. So could it be a boy?Is there a connection?

Yes, take a long pencil with an eraser on the end...thread a needle with about 5 inches of thread and stick the needle in the eraser. lay your hand face up on the table and hold steady the pencil over your wrist, hold by the thread. The pencil should begin to rotate in circles...if after a few seconds it settles to moving side to side...its a girl, if it settles to moving up and down (hand to elbow)...its a boy. Oh, also little dudes like to ride high!!! Girls like the warm bladders. (Generally)

I dont think that how sick you get has any bearing on what you are having.
However I will tell you what the class I took when I was pregnant told me. Get some of the powder DRAINO If they still make it. mix one teaspoon of your urine in the driano. If the concotion turns brown you are having a GIRL if the stuff turns green you are having a BOY. I did not try this but a lot of the other people in the class did and they said it was accurate.

I don't think there is a connection. Everyone told me that if you crave protien you are having a boy, and craving fruit means a girl. I craved protien with my first pregnancy and had a beautiful little girl. With this pregnancy I was much more sick and had migraines, so I thought maybe it was a boy, since it was so different. This one is a girl too. Your body reacts differently to every baby and the only way to know is to have an ultrasound or amnio dna testing.

Medically there is no connection!! Every woman is different. My girlfriends and I have put this to the test. Usually if you have a few children, then you may be able to guess on the sex based on how your body acts, looks, but not compared to anyone else. Example: WIth both my boys I carried them more to the sides and was completely nausous the whole 9 months. With my daughter I carried her straight out front and was never nausous but had trouble breathing and was dizzy a lot. My best friend was puking her guts out with her girl and not at all nausous with the boy...yet ate pickles and ice cream! lol

There is no way to tell. I have 3 girls and I had a different sickness with all of them. I carried high with my first one and low with the other 2. Everyone told me I was having a boy with my second one by the way I was carrying and they were WRONG! I had the pencil/need & thread test done and it was wrong too.
Don't let anyone tell you there is a way to find out. Get an ultrasound.

I never got sick and was told that I'm going to have a boy by everyone in my family and the fact that my hips didn't get big but my stomach is poking out! I'm not really sure. I'm actually getting my u/s tomorrow and hopefully i'll see the gender of my baby! CONGRATS!!

There is one way of knowing if it is a boy or a girl. Put a long piece of thread through a needle and hold the end of the thread over your belly. If it swings to the left and right you are having a boy, and if it swings north and south you are having a girl.

it could be a connection . i had some pains and i had a boy . and i was hardly ever sick except for the first few months. so good luck !!

Though there are a lot of old wives's tales that say that you can tell the sex of the baby through such trivial things, there is no scientific backing to any of it. The only way to know for sure what the gender of your baby is is through an ultrasound.

Every person is different. I was sicker with my girls than my boys but I have had friends who carried like I did and were sick like I was that had the opposite.
I don't think you can really use it as a predictor.
