Pot's not all that dangerous. It's not addictive in the manner of hard drugs, alcohol or even nicotine. It is, however, addicitve in a psychological manner, like food or sex is addictive. If you smoke it like every day, and suddenly, you find yourself without it, you WILL BE ANNOYED. You won't be shivering or get the shakes, but you'll be a pain in anybody's *** around you. And if you smoke it every day, it will have an affect on you, in terms of it damaging your short-term memory. And honestly, if you're stoned all the time, you probably won't accomplish much. Also, if you're stoned a lot, you could find yourself eating an entire stick of raw cookie dough, which isn't good for you waste-line.
Really, the bottom line is: moderation is the key. If you're stoned 24/7, you're gonna have problems. If you smoke out some weed every once in a while, it's all good!

It is more calming. You hear of people getting drunk and fighting, but never getting stoned and fighting.

Nothing should be overdone, though. I have a friend who smoked herself half to death in college. She's in her mid 40's now and it changed her - I've known her since early childhood and I can see it plainly. She's dimmer now and doesn't connect as fast as she should, even though she'd educated and intelligent.

And like I said once today to someone, you're just as dangerous stoned behind the wheel as drunk. Intoxicated is intoxicated.

I have worked in the prison system and in drug rehab. I am a nurse. I have never had a person in drug rehab who did not start with marijuana. and 90% of the prisoners I have taken care of have used marijuana and most say that if they had never started using marijuana they would not be in prison. So yes I think it is very dangerous.

I think we're all different in our reaction to drugs. When I tried it, outside of making food and sex more delightful, it didn't do to much for me. I was only using it because my husband wanted me to join him and his friends. I didn't particularly like it but - it was really strange - when we took a trip to Europe I gave it up and it wasn't any big deal to do that. But, as long as 4 years later, I found I still occasionally had cravings for it.

No, but if you know your limits and self-control. When I used to smoke I was becoming so paranoid, and thought that I was about to die at any point.
It is not for everyone. If you can handle it...
It is good in medical purposes.

No harm done either way, it is as safe as and should be as legal as alcohol. When used in moderation there are no problems at all.
