when he visited the NAACP after FIVE YEARS of invites.

Is this why American Blacks refuse to become trophy Republicans,or trophy ANYTHING the way white conservtaves still want them to be?

Unless you have a clean break altogether from America's racist conservative values altogether,Blacks will be hindered from gaining the 1st class status they are entitled to.

1. Prove how anything said by today's conservatives resembles anything said by the segregationists regarding blacks. I won't hold my breath because I already know you have nothing to support this loathsome accusation.

2. Bush did not 'admit' there was racism in the GOP. That's just a lie. He did say they did not work for their vote. As for ignoring their invites, remember that the NAACP ran an ad in 2000 that basically said Bush was to blame for the dragging death of that black man. NAACP national leaders mouthed all kinds of deprecations against Bush. Why should Bush have given them the time of day?

3. So some idiot on here spouts some inanity. What's that got to do with anything? Slavery was a worldwide institution until the abolition movement was started by white Anglo Christians. It has no left/right ideology. But let's not forget that the Confederacy, the KKK, segregation and Jim Crow are all Southern Democrat legacies.

4. 'Trophy' Republicans? That is a reprehensible appelation. Let's look at Condi Rice, Powell, etc. Those are not 'trophy' posts. The blacks who are Republicans have rejected the victim status the Democrats have reserved for them. They reject the double standards the Democrats hold them to, as if they cannot compete academically or behaviorally with whites. It is the patronizing Dem position that holds them to a 2nd-class status. Affirmative action is a double standard that tells them they are lesser people who cannot compete. We reject this view.

5. What 'racist conservative values'? Either name them, or just shut up with your empty leftist rhetoric. Conservatives treat everybody like they are full humans and citizens who are capable of making their own decisions and competing with everybody else.

The only reason it would tie a conservatives tongue in a knot is because your rant is so full of untruths and falsehoods it would be hard to know where to start debunking the lies!

As long as the democratic party extoles the virtues of handouts and entitlements and does not reward personal accountability their main political tactic of divide and conquer will reign supreme.

If the liberals truly loved people they would work to better their lives, not continue the literal enslavement and keeping them down.

Neither party represents anything except the special interests and corporate sponsors that put them into office. If you don't see that then their tricks have worked and you are officially one of the "sheeple" who keep voting the party line keeping the two parties in power.

If you think the democrats are trying to lift anyone up to be 1st class citizens you are deceiving yourself. They rely on the promise of doing so but did nothing in the forty years they had both houses of congress. As long as they keep getting that demographic's vote they will leave staus quo and concentrate on pleasing the special interest groups who donate countless millions to the national party coffers.

Your statements are racist and demeaning to Blacks. Individuals have individual values and political leanings. To state that Blacks "refuse" to become "Trophy Republicans" is plain moronic. As blacks become more prosperous and diverse, they will become less of a voting "block", and it is happening today. Kerry captured much less of the black and hispanic vote than Clinton did.
By the way, you need to study your history a little more. The Racist segregationists were Southern Democrats. Lead by such stalwarts as Robert Byrd, George Wallace, and Lester Maddox. and remember, Lincoln, was a Republican.

1. People are not racists because they are conservative. Fact is, liberals are more racist than conservatives. Only a liberal thinks Hispanics are too stupid to learn English. Only a liberal thinks blacks can make it in America only because of Affirmative Action.

The one benefit that Blacks get by having the Conservative agenda pass is that for those Blacks who succeed, they can't be accused of succeeding only through affirmative action. Everyone will have to admit that they 'earned it'.
