What are your views on Stigmata? Is it truly a sign from God and a blessing? Is it all just a hoax to con people out of money or to convert?

Could this phenomenon be mental? Have people wanted feel blessed by Jesus so much that their minds caused these wounds to appear? This would mean it was a case of mind over matter!

How can you explain the wounds being in different areas. Some have wounds in the middle if the hand. Some have them on the wrists. But the wrist did not occur until scientist came out that it was impossible to hang by the hands. What about people that have crosses appear on the forehead. This was not a wound of Jesus!

It really has to be looked at on a case by case basis, generally if there is a big deal made about the stigmata & there is a potential for monetary gain then it is most likely a hoax. But in the case of someone like Padre Pio or St Francis Of Assisi, I believe the sigmata was a manifestation of faith. Neither a blessing from God, or a hoax, or a curse, or a con. People who have connected to thier True Will, have the ability to manifest great power sometimes that power is manifested as stigmata, or bi-location, or healing powers.

It depends. There was a nun that got her stigmata from Satan. But I also met a man at the monastary that had stigmata. He went around the country healing people. He was very nice. I had cancer and doctors said I would die, that was 5 years ago.

I think it could be a hoax or the person is mentally unstable. If you believe in something enough it becomes real...but only to you.

I have no idea. I have read about stigmata and still, I have no real opinion about it. It is very odd.

If it is in fact real, then it's also very cruel. God pays back a devout person by making them suffer just like his son did? I don't want a God like that, thank you very much.
