I have a boyfriend who is very gentle, loving and caring. Although he is inteligent, he is not very ambitious. I know, I won't have a good life standard in future. I want to have a family with him, but on the other hand I know it will be a struggle to bring up children with little mney and no house. How can I hange that? Is it possible to change?

love is most important, money is helpful but it won't make you happy.

Ambition isnt everything and love makes you much happier than money in the long run, when you start a family - you just manage it wont be the same forever and you cant try to change someone you love. You never know what will happen in the future so live and be happy and in love in the moment of things try not to live too much in the future, so long as you can pay your bills who cares?

this answer is neither black nor white... it starts with love... but how it ends is up to the both of you putting in 50/50... having a family does take a great amount of love and greater amounts of money... you should find right moments to let him know that it is important to strive for the greatest financially not just for the "now" but for the future... my husband and i do alot of things for the future of our children but we also take a moment to enjoy things now... it helps keep our sanity... but if there is stress in the home with finances... that really takes a toll on the "love" part...you both have to work together and support each other and push each other and help each other accomplish the goals that you both set out for your future.. write it down.. make an action plan.

Is love... but you have to think that love does not pay the bills!! Unfortunately this world is doggy dog!! So, tell him that if he loves you he needs to think a bit more ambitious!! Sounds weird but is like that!! The people that do well ... are the ones that work really hard and fight to get what they want!!!

Talk to him about this... Unfortunately, we are not in a position to be relax about the money!! Life is never easy!!

Good luck!

You can't change another person.

If money is important to you then this relationship will not work. And, you know it. Why pretend it doesn't matter to you when it obviously does?

Save yourself a lot of disappointment and pain and find someone who can give you what you want so you can be happy.

Money problems are a major cause of divorce.

As long as the money coming in is regular, reliable and consistent, go for it. Children need love not material goods. Maybe when you and your partner do have a family together, he might have more motivation to seek out a higher paid job.

If you are worrying about these things then you don't love this guy. If you loved him none of the other things would matter to you. True love conquers all. You will know when you meet a man you TRULY love because you won't even think of asking this question

When it comes to having a family love is great but money matters with kids.

How much are you prepared to earn? He sounds decent, surely you can contribute to the household income? His intelligence has helped him realise what a meaningless rat-race it is out there. You are lucky to have him. I am a woman and accept that I have a responsibility to earn a living.

Well, it all depends on the situation. Give him a chance. It all depends on if you want to have a family with the guy. If you do, tell him that he needs to buck up and start working and such. If he loves you, then he should be able to take care of you.
