Can you be more specific? Is there a type of cuisine you like? Is there a particular area in LA you want to stay in or are you open to anywhere in LA County? Do you have a price point? The more specific your question, the easier it will be to answer.

For now, I can tell you some of my favorite higher-end restaurants to check out.

La Cachette
http://www.lacachetterestaurant.com/home.html

- Food and wait staff are both excellent. The restaurant has a beautiful interior space and French waiters who know what they're talking about.

Patina
http://www.patinagroup.com/patina/

- At the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Great seasonal dining since the menu changes to reflect the best in produce for the time of year.

Providence
http://www.providencela.com/

- Nominated Best New Restaurant in the US. If you love seafood, this is the place to check out because that's their specialty.

Cuidad
http://www.cicadarestaurant.com/

- Northern Italian food that is tasty, but the real draw is that the restaurant is decorated in the Art Deco-style. It's absolutely beautiful inside. In fact, you can see pics at:

Anyway, good luck on your search and Happy Early Anniversary!

Napa Valley Grill
On Glendone, North of Wilshire
Street (rare) or valet parking

Creative, seasonal menu. Outstanding wine list. No MSG in the ingredients and spices (Chef emailed me today), very professional staff, beautiful ambiance.

La Petite Jardin
On Robertson, South of Pico
Street parking on Robertson is very easy

French cafe with a beautiful, garden setting. Raul puts his heart into the menu and the meals he makes and it shows. BYOB

The Magic Castle

Valet parking, don't even try on the street

The menu is OK, but the experience of the Magic Castle is wonderful!
