NO WAY will the law allow that, put two of the girls in the attic, one boy in the basement, build a tree house for the other boys and sell the family pet, who cares if its against the law, I use to rent out oven space to a homeless guy for $5.00 a month, better yet buy the kids camouflage clothes and let them live in the woods, damn nobodies gonna know.

Required by law and I'm pretty sure it's the same law state to state says that males and females have seperate rooms. If you have 2 boys and 2 girls, the boys can bunk in one room and the girls can bunk in the other....so where do you and your husband sleep? Need a 3rd bedroom.

Depends on where you live. In Arlington County, VA it's illegal to do this. You'd need the third bedroom to be legal. However, I've seen situations where a single mother and son shared a 1 bedroom (illegal) but it was ignored by the building manager.

What if you build a room divider in the bedroom?

Most states, if not all, have occupancy limits for each room in an apartment. It's for safety reasons, not to cheat people out of cheap living. You need to find one that is at least three bedrooms, I think. Where we live, three bedrooms are for up to six people. Four bedrooms are the preferred.

By law no, but just because it says 2 bedrooms doesnt mean you cant make a room such as an office into a bedroom.

probrably, if you but the boys in 1 room and the girls in another. You and hubby will have to share the couch though. Children of opposite sex can only share a bedroom if they are under 5 years old.

I think if the children have both bedrooms and your husband and you sleep in the living room it may be. I think different apartments have different rules. That's a pretty crowded living arrangement though.
