It depends on the size of the mp3's (each one will be different) and the size of the disc (CD's range from 600-800Mb per disc and DVDs are double that).

I would estimate that an average MP3 would probably be somewhere between 3 and 6 Mb....and an average CD would be 700Mb...so simple maths tells us you should be able to fit between 110 and 230 (average) MP3s onto one disk.

My best guesstimate would be 2-3 CDs.

Depends on the size of the songs. Generally you could get 12-16 songs per disc. Therefore you would need 25 - 34 cd's

Addition:
OK, i am confused. How can you get 400 plus songs onto 3 discs? That is approx 10 hours worth of playing time per disc. Is there something i am missing?

depends on the size of each song. most cd hold what 700mb your burning program will tell you when you have reached the max but on average with about 4mb a song you can get 175 on each disc give or take. so like 3 discs but i buy them by the spindel of 50 so never had to worry about it

the two your CD participant basically does not play burned cd's or you burned it as an MP3 CD which you like an MP3 in a position cd participant. You copied a image on your disk? this is the only section that I dont get what you are trying to assert.

Does your daughter want to burn the songs to listen to on audio cd's or transfer them from one PC to another?
3-4 cd's on a data disk done through Nero.
24-25 cd's burned individually through windows media player etc.

Hope that helps

Depends on how large they are. They are not all the same size. A CD holds about 640 megabytes of information.
