I have AT&T dial up internet service and windows 98. When this happens I have to turn the computer completely off and turn it back on or restart the computer. After doing this the internet will be fine for a little while and then it start knocking me off the computer again. Any help anyone can give me will be appreciated.

Thats your ISP (internet service provider) fault not yours.
Your dial up speed is slow and you have to configure your modem properly for smooth usage.
Contact your ISP for further details.

Call ATT support @1-800-400-1447. It sounds to me like you have a virus.

DIAL UP INTERNET IS AWFUL! I USED TO HAVE IT AND I SWITCHED TO DSL. BEST MOVE I EVER MADE. ALSO WINDOWS 98 IS TERRIBLE. YOU NEED TO UPDATE. THIS SHOULD SOLVE A LOT OF YOUR PROBLEMS. GOOD LUCK!

I think it is the internet server. It keeps happening to me also & I have to do the same thing.

since you are paying at&t for help you should ask them for help. if you were using a local isp you would get much faster help.

also be sure to read their help pages. look around their site for a forum to ask questions and contact links
